Position Summary: The Industrial Maintenance Crew Lead is a non-exempt position that will be accountable to provide excellent customer service by leading a crew to complete assignments adhering to Claussen’s standards. The Crew Lead will also be responsible for project time management, new hire training, and ensuring only safe work practices are being followed while working alongside your co-workers. The employee will ensure the equipment and Industrial promote proper functionality and safety. The Industrial Maintenance Crew Lead will demonstrate excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead a crew, by example to be productive, efficient and being an excellent team member.
- Represent Claussen’s in a professional manner to customers and employees.
- Completes manufacturing equipment maintenance.
- Performs inspections to identify maintenance issues.
- Conducts equipment, facility, & cement/urethane floor repairs.
- Responsible for equipment and supply delivery to work sites.
- Assist Grounds Maintenance and Construction as needed.
- Knowledgeable with high skilled testing, troubleshooting, disassembly, inspecting, precise measuring, repair and re-assembly of equipment and components.
- Able to fabricate and repair metal structures and components.
- Adapt to changing work scheduling.
- Identifies and report equipment abnormalities and safety hazards.
- Communicate with coworkers, supervisors, and all shop personnel regarding the maintenance and repair of equipment via notes, e-mail, or verbal communication.
- Appropriate organizational and problem-solving skills while working with a team of professionals.
- Completes record logs including labor, repairs made, equipment, and use of materials.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in groundskeeping.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Valid Driver’s license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
- Valid Driver’s license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
- High-school or equivalent diploma with at least 3 years of maintenance.
- Experience in a supervisor/leadership role.
- Ability to communicate and read labels in English. (Bilingual in Spanish a plus)
- Knowledge of basic safety rules & precautionary measures.
- Ability to physically stand, bend, squat and lift/move heavy loads.
- Positive attitude and work ethic.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Provide own standard tools per company’s tool policy.
- Attention to detail.
