The Cliffs Hotel & Spa is continuously growing and expanding! We are seeking a hard-working, genuine, and motivated part-time Parking Ambassador who can create a sense of luxury while overseeing the greeting for guest parking in the Valet lot and front loop. We look forward to connecting with you!
Position Summary: The Parking Ambassador is an entry-level Valet position which oversees the greeting for arrivals and departures in the Valet lot and front loop. The Parking Ambassador is responsible for executing high levels of guest service and satisfaction by demonstrating knowledge of the hotel and area for hotel guests and local recommendations. The Valet Concierge plays a pivotal role in upholding The Cliffs mission of providing lasting, happy memories through genuine service and thoughtful amenities.

Essential Functions of the job:
- On-site work required
- Must be available to work minimum 3 shifts per week
- Must be available to work weekends, nights, and Holidays
- Must be able to work flexible hours and weekends based on occupancy
- Greets and engages all guests pulling into the Valet lot with a welcoming, friendly attitude, showing genuine interest and concern for the guest.
- Must consistently and respectfully personalize interactions, using the guest's name in accordance with their preference.
- Communicates with guests in an articulate manner, using correct verbiage and avoiding slang
- Ensures Forbes 4-star expectations are both met and exceeded for all guest arrivals and departures.
- Opens and closes vehicle doors for arriving guests
- Notifies guests that luggage assistance is immediately offered curbside, and if needed that their luggage will be stored in a secure location
- Demonstrates genuine sense of interest and concern, and/or anticipatory service when appropriate and helpful; guided by The Cliffs' Mission and Values
- Relays all guest requests with graciousness, professionalism, and a sense of urgency to appropriate Valet or Front Desk staff
- Directs guest when they first arrive to the property while stationed at the entrance of the drive, informing of validation services when appropriate
- Monitors public beach parking and valet parking.
- Issues valet parking tickets and properly marking any existing damage on guest's cars prior to parking.
- Effectively communicates all arriving, in house and departing guest requests and services to the appropriate Valet or Front Desk staff in a timely manner
- Maintains proper housekeeping in Valet lot and front loop to create a sense of luxury as the guests' first impression. Includes vacuuming entrance mats, picking up any debris from the lot grounds, trash receptacles frequently emptied, etc.
- Is familiar with and keeps updated and current information of local events
- Has current information pertaining to the opening and closing of local businesses
- Is familiar with Front Office staff and keep staff informed of pending guest issues
- Assists in other departments as needed, this may include Valet, Front Desk, and Reservations, as requested by Valet Manager
- Attends meetings and trainings to learn current hotel information
- Complies fully and consistently with all the hotel conditions of employment and standards of uniform, grooming, and safety measures.
- Performs other tasks as assigned by manager
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must have multitasking strengths
- Professional appearance
- Ability to work with the public
- Excellent command of English language
- Must have a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Education, Experience, Skills:
- High school diploma
- Working knowledge of guest services in a luxury hotel setting preferred
- Excellent command of English language.
- Ability to work with people effectively.
- Ability to multitask and work in mentally demanding situations.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand continuously for the duration of the shift (6-8 hours).
- Ability to walk/run frequently for the duration of the shift (3-6 hours)
- Ability to lift small packages (excess of 50 pounds).
- Be able to stretch, bend, and reach frequently for the duration of shift (3-6 hours)
- Ability to work in stressful situations.
