Internal: All Equestrian Center concerns: For effective communication.
External: Members / Guests: To provide excellent service.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
- Experience working with children and riding programs.
- Knowledge of horses and children’s activities.
- Professional standard of excellence of horse care required.
Certification and/or License Requirement:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- CPR and First Aid Certified, or ability to become certified.
Skills:
- Ability to coordinate and perform a children’s trail ride.
- Must possess excellent oral and interpersonal skills.
- High level of confidence.
- Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions.
- Must possess the ability to interact with children, members and staff on all levels in a professional, positive, and friendly manner.
- Working knowledge of safety around children, members, guests and horses.
- Position requires a highly professional demeanor with children and staff, adaptability, flexibility and adherence to a strict level of confidentiality.
- Ability to read, understand, write and speak English.
Working Conditions:
- Able to work in a dust and hay environment.
- Requires working in an outdoor environment with fluctuating temperatures.
- Requires working in an outdoor environment with rugged, uneven terrain.
Physical/Cognitive Activities:
- Requires ability to bend, stoop, walk, lift, and carry items up to 50lbs.
- Able to work around animals.
