Job Description:
The Admissions Assistant supports essential, daily operations of the admissions office. Tasks will vary weekly based on operational needs, but a primary focus will be supporting the visit experience. This individual will be an integral member of the visit management team and will support lobby management and reception, interacting with prospective students and families. This individual will assist with completing communication initiatives and coordinating the activities of student workers. This is a part-time 24-30 hours per week, temporary, in-person position reporting to Executive Director.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support scheduling and coordination of campus visits in admissions CRM
- Manage lobby reception
- Primary phone support
- Assist with supervising student tour guides
- Communicate with campus partners regarding visitor appointment requests
- Complete communication and outreach to prospective students and families through email, phone and handwritten notes
- Support group information sessions and open house events
- Complete other duties as assigned based on individual skillsets and operational priorities. Examples include data enter, visit processing within our CRM
Requirements:
Education and/or Experience:
- A high school diploma is required, and a bachelor's degree is preferred. A minimum of three years of customer service or other related experience and a valid driver's license are required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Effective interpersonal skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft suite
- Effective organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Interest and ease in working with changing technologies, including data and customer relationship management systems.
- Demonstrate cultural competency and value continued education related to equity, diversity, and inclusion efforts.
- Be effective at working independently and contributing as a team member.
- Ability to keep information secure and confidential.
- Work occasional weekends and evenings (minimal).
