Job Description
Reports To: Executive Director
Job Title: Project Director
Summary: Ensure that the CDC and other prevention programs are successfully implemented over the budgeted period. Manages the milestones to be accomplished as established in the project, submit programmatic reports, supervise staff and establish collaborative working relationships with partner agencies.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Negotiates with the funding agency in reference to the budget and project objectives.
- Supervises planning, implementation and evaluation of project personnel and subcontract staff.
- Develops reports and documents progress of accomplishments and barriers in meeting project goals and objectives.
- Directly supervises subcontracting agencies providing capacity building assistance services associated with the project.
- Provides ongoing documented updates, reports and assessments on meeting the goals and objectives of the project accordingly.
- Supervises research on, and analyzes HIV/AIDS interventions and other related HIV/AIDS materials to community based agencies.
- Provides presentations to diverse audiences of various cultures, orientation, size, education level and experience.
- Develops professional contacts and network with community based representatives/agencies, consultants, community stake-holders, colleagues, and government agencies.
- Assists in the development of all written and verbal marketing messages/tools associated with the project.
- Provides input on the design, development, implementation and evaluation of programmatic curricula on a variety of HIV/AIDS/STD topics and themes as outlined per an agency request.
Other Essential Duties:
- Keeps current on information regarding HIV/AIDS/STD and other related issues.
- Assesses and evaluates all associated staff with the project.
- Demonstrate basic training/facilitation skills and ability to instruct and teach others.
- Attends all project meetings, conferences or programs associated with the project.
- Attends, as needed, designated site visits associated with the project.
Unique Skills or Abilities: Good organizational and problem solving skills necessary, including ability to follow-up and support others. Candidate must be a team player and exhibit good verbal and written communication skills. Must be efficient in Microsoft Office Software, including Word Perfect, Quattro Pro, Desk Top Publisher, Excel and Power Point software. Must have experience or trainable in use of LCD projectors, laptops, and digital cameras, and other equipment as requested.
Qualifications: Requires Master’s degree or PhD (preferred) in public health, social/behavioral science, with documented history of experience in providing CBA services in the health field (HIV preferable) and/or working specifically with minority communities. Must have experience in managing programs and Cultural Competency Training.

Hours: Monday – Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm (Weekends and Evenings required)
Transportation: Applicant must have own transportation

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
