Someone with Linux & SCCM experience is a plus as well as active knowledge of VMware, SANs, True storage / Pmax storage potentially.If the person has went the traditional route, they likely have some networking knowledge by the time they get there which would also be a plus.Experience with Citrix, Netscaler, Appsense / Ivanti, InfoBlox would all be a big plus JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Systems Engineer Candidate provides technical advice to Oracle personnel.This position also requires superior customer service skills, which include communication, collaboration, follow-through and proactive problem solving, resulting in a high level of customer satisfaction.The Systems Engineer duties and tasks are standard with some variation.The ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.He / She should display understanding of roles, processes, and procedures.Normally this position will receive general instructions on routine work, and detailed instructions on new assignments.This position performs moderately complex problem solving with some assistance and guidance.The Systems Engineer should complete their own tasks, primarily, independently within defined polices and procedures.Requires 1-3 years experience in a technical support environment.Attainment of one or more IT related certifications.Working knowledge of PC / laptop hardware architecture.Working knowledge of DOS / Windows suite and LAN composition.LAN experience with Ethernet technology. - While an hourly range is posted for this position, an eventual hourly rate is determined by a comprehensive salary analysis which considers multiple factors including but not limited to : job-related knowledge, skills and qualifications, education and experience as compared to others in the organization doing substantially similar work, if applicable, and market and business considerations.
