Position: Residential Aide
Program: Park Street Inn
Location: New Haven
Salary: $18.54/hour
Schedule: Full time, 40 hours, 2nd shift, Tuesday-Saturday (2:30-10:30p)
Program Summary:
An intensive residential program that provides comprehensive care to people who are transitioning into the community from psychiatric hospitals. In this high-structure, low demand setting, people are provided with opportunities to develop the fundamental skills needed to remain in the community.
Position Summary:
The Residential Aide is responsible for direct client care. This includes activities of daily living and providing support for safety, health, and wellness. This position also assists program staff, and the ideal candidate will establish, develop, and maintain respectful relationships with the people served. The Residential Aide will participate in maintaining a safe, harm-free environment for all residents.
Working within Adult Services, the Residential Aide works on the Residential Behavioral Health Treatment care team to support clients’ recovery from mental illness, substance use, and homelessness.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma / GED
- 2 years relevant experience as a Residential Aide or equivalent
- Valid Connecticut Driver’s License
- Regular and predictable attendance is required
Orientation:
If selected for employment with The Connection, newly hired employees will be required to attend a two (2) day mandatory New Hire Orientation at our Roscommon office located in Middletown.
