What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Support Specialist for Online Events for people over 50 position at The Consortium, Inc.?
Monday - Friday (normal business hours) with potential for some support request on select Saturdays. Person will at times work during online events which could take place after normal hours between 5-7 : 30 pm. Candidates must be local and able to come into Washington D.C. office and WFH Monday and Friday.
Overview : We are seeking a dedicated Program Support Specialist to join our team. This person will support 2 programs - one is the help people over 50 find work and the other is to help people over 50 explore working for themselves. A majority of the program work with the participants is online. This role is crucial in supporting the Program Director, Program Managers, and other project resources throughout the program lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project coordination, excellent communication skills, and a keen attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities :
Support the Program Director and Program Managers in all phases of the program lifecycle.
Coordinate and produce Economic Mobility online events.
Develop and implement communication and training plans.
Take detailed notes during program meetings and distribute comprehensive meeting summaries.
Update and maintain program and project plans as required.
Plan, monitor, and coordinate various tasks to ensure project milestones are met.
Edit and refine program resources to ensure accuracy and quality.
Collect and validate data to support program objectives.
Qualifications :
Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Zoom, and PowerPoint.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Junior Project Manager, Event Coordinator, Program / Project Coordinator, or Program / Project Administrator role.
Experience in the non-profit sector is preferred.
A college degree or equivalent years of relevant experience.
