Key Responsibilities
- Project Oversight & Management
- Supervise all on-site construction activities from start to finish.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
- Coordinate and communicate daily with subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams.
- Monitor job progress, address delays, and resolve on-site issues proactively.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient job site.
- Safety & Compliance
- Enforce strict safety standards and OSHA regulations.
- Conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and training sessions.
- Ensure workers use proper protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols.
- Document incidents, inspections, and compliance reports.
- Quality Control & Problem-Solving
- Inspect work for compliance with plans, codes, and quality standards.
- Resolve construction issues to maintain project integrity.
- Work with architects, engineers, and project managers to address design modifications.
- Ensure punch list completion and final project closeout.
- Scheduling & Coordination
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion.
- Coordinate material deliveries and equipment needs.
- Work closely with project managers to track progress and budget adherence.
- Lead site meetings with subcontractors, clients, and stakeholders.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily logs of job site activities, progress, and incidents.
- Submit reports on job progress, materials, and labor hours.
- Ensure proper documentation of inspections, permits, and compliance records.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in Construction Management preferred).
- Five or more years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, blueprints, and specifications.
- Proficiency in scheduling software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
- OSHA 30 certification preferred and strong safety knowledge.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to problem-solve and make quick decisions under pressure.
- Experience managing subcontractors, budgets, and construction timelines.
- Experience with commercial projects such as office buildings, retail centers, healthcare facilities, or warehouses.
- Familiarity with local building codes and permitting processes.
- Knowledge of construction technology, including BIM (preferred).
