Position Overview:
The Custer Beacon is a vibrant casual American counter-service bar/restaurant renowned for its dynamic concert atmosphere, live music stage, and exceptional dining experience. We are seeking a creative and experienced Marketing Manager to develop and execute marketing strategies that elevate our brand, engage our community, and promote our unique offerings. This part-time role (4-8 hours per week) encompasses webpage management, updating menus and events calendars, social media marketing, customer engagement, email and text campaigns, and other marketing initiatives typical for a restaurant, music venue, and community cultural event space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and update the website with current menus, events calendar, promotions, and other relevant content.
- Ensure content is fresh, engaging, and reflective of The Custer Beacon’s brand.
- Develop and execute social media strategies to build and maintain an active online presence across platforms.
- Engage with customers through comments, messages, and interactive posts to foster community and loyalty.
- Plan and implement email and text marketing campaigns to promote daily specials, events, and exclusive offers.
- Coordinate digital advertising efforts as needed and track the effectiveness of campaigns.
- Work closely with the restaurant and event teams to align marketing efforts with upcoming concerts, cultural events, and special promotions.
- Develop creative marketing materials (digital content, flyers, graphics) in collaboration with vendors or in-house resources.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on key marketing metrics (website traffic, social media engagement, campaign ROI, etc.) to continuously refine strategies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in marketing roles, preferably within the hospitality, events, or entertainment sectors.
- Strong background in digital marketing, including website management, social media strategy, and email/text marketing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Familiarity with website management platforms (e.g., Squarespace, WordPress) and basic SEO best practices.
- Creative thinker with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects within a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Must be comfortable working part-time (2-6 hours per week) with flexibility during special events or high-traffic periods.
Work Hours:
This is a part-time position requiring approximately 2-6 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours during peak periods or special events.
