Summary / Objective
The Ophthalmic Supervisor is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the Ophthalmic Photography function.
Essential Functions

- Supervises all personnel in the Diagnostic Imaging Department to include Ophthalmic Photographers, Photo Assistants I and II, and Ultra-Sonography Technicians.
- Functions as a working Ophthalmic Photographer.
- Responsible to insure that all imaging equipment is kept in good working condition.
- Responsible for the Safety and well-being of all patients tested in the imaging department.
- Oversees the budget for the Photography Department, Diagnostic Department, and OCT Imaging Department.
- Works closely with equipment vendors to negotiate equipment demonstrations and performs primary price negotiations for new equipment.
- Insures that all warranty contracts are kept up-to-date, and works with Technical Support to repair and update imaging equipment throughout the three departments.
Supervisory Experience
Will supervise and provide guidance to the Ophthalmic Photography Department.
Work Environment
This is a technical job in a healthcare clinical setting. The Ophthalmic Photography Supervisor will primarily work in a clinic setting but may be required to walk to other areas of the building and may be exposed to contagious illnesses due to patient interactions.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position working primarily daytime hours Monday through Friday; however, some evening and weekend work may be necessary on occasion.
Required Education and Experience
Must have at least five years of experience in Ophthalmic Photography to include :

BA Degree
Board Certified in Retinal Angiography
