Director of Fundraising

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Fundraiser to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in developing and implementing fundraising strategies to support our mission. This position involves building and maintaining relationships with donors, conducting research to identify potential funding opportunities, and crafting compelling grant proposals. The successful candidate will be adept at engaging with various stakeholders, including individuals, businesses, and community organizations.

Duties

• Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising plans aligned with organizational goals.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors through effective communication and engagement strategies.
• Conduct market research to identify potential funding sources and trends in philanthropy.
• Write grant proposals that effectively communicate the organization’s mission, objectives, and funding needs.
• Utilize databases to track donor interactions, manage fundraising campaigns, and analyze donor data for strategic planning.
• Collaborate with team members to organize fundraising events and initiatives that promote community involvement.
• Provide exceptional customer service to donors and stakeholders, ensuring a positive experience that encourages ongoing support.
• Represent the organization in public relations efforts to raise awareness about our mission and fundraising initiatives.

Skills

• Proven experience in fundraising or related fields such as public relations or customer service.
• Strong relationship management skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively.
• Excellent strategic planning capabilities to develop innovative fundraising approaches.
• Proficiency in using software tools for donor management and data analysis.
• Experience in grant proposal writing with a strong understanding of the grant application process.
• Strong research skills to identify funding opportunities and assess potential donor interests.
• Familiarity with databases for tracking donations, managing contacts, and reporting on fundraising activities.
