About the role:
As the Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial transactions of The Duck Company’s business, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies and procedures. You will be assisting in maintaining strong relationships with customers and vendors and assisting in making sure customers are set up for efficient payment processes and credit lines to effectively manage accounts before and after past due balances.
Please note: This is an in-person, full-time position in Arvada, CO. Remote work is not offered.

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the approximate annual base compensation range is listed above. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be determined by a number of factors including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.

What you’ll do:
Accounts Payable
- Receive and verify invoices for accuracy and completeness before processing (3-way match) including proper approvals and account coding
- Enter invoices into the accounting system, processing weekly and manual check runs as needed
- Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures
- Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and address payment-related inquiries
- Prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire transfers
- Maintain organized and up-to-date vendor files, including W-9 tracking, 1099’s, and other required documentation
- Manage a portfolio of customers and ensure they pay invoices in a timely fashion
- Process daily deposits and record transactions in the accounting system, SAP Business One
- Update and maintain other reports to be shared with the leadership team as needed
- Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams for seamless operations
- Maintain strong relationships with customers.

- Microsoft Office, including Excel (advanced-expert level), Word, and Outlook
- SAP Business One experience highly desired
- Ability to complete tasks accurately and thrives in a fast-paced result-oriented environment
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, independent worker with a strong work ethic as well as a willingness to be a part of a team
- Ability to quickly learn internal systems, workflows, and technologies
- Bachelors in Accounting highly preferred
- 3 years’ experience working in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
