TFPU is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening families and protecting children in Cache, Franklin, and Rich Counties through 24-hour therapeutic child center, education, therapeutic services, and the Starfish Children’s shelter.
The Family Place Utah (TFPU) is seeking self-motivated and trustworthy individuals for the position of Grant Writer. The individual selected will serve as the integral team member of the Administration Department and will report to the Operation Director. This position is 30 up to 35 hours per week with benefits. The office this individual would be based out of is the Logan location and it is 100% in person position.
Grant Writer will assist the Operations Director in writing assignments, such as writing and editing reports, research, correspondence, and other written documents. The Grant Writer will coordinate grant responsibilities with other staff members and follow up with staff members to ensure those responsibilities are achieved.
Qualifications:
1. A college degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field is required
2. Minimum two years of experience in the related field
3. Understand child development, positive behavior management, and signs/symptoms of child abuse and neglect
4. Excellent writing, reading, editorial, formatting, and budget preparation skills
5. High energy and self-motivation
6. Punctual, thorough, detail-oriented, caring, positive, with a strong work ethic
7. Ability to work as an effective team member
8. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
9. Proficient with Internet and Microsoft Office Suite
10. Ability to pass an annual background check
11. Obtain food handlers permit and First aid/CPR certification (may be obtained after hire)
