Job Summary:
The Admissions Coordinator is a passionate and dedicated individual who plays a crucial role in driving enrollment and shaping the future of The Classical School (TCS) at The First Academy (TFA). This role is a dynamic blend of recruitment, admissions processing, marketing, and customer service, requiring a highly organized and motivated individual with a strong commitment to the school's mission and values. The Admissions Coordinator will serve as a primary point of contact for prospective families, guiding them through the admissions process with exceptional care and professionalism. This role requires a deep understanding of the school's culture and a genuine desire to share the TFA experience with prospective families. This is a 12-month hourly position.
Essential Job Functions:
- Recruitment and Enrollment:
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract mission-appropriate families to TCS.
- Conduct engaging and informative campus tours, both in-person and virtually, highlighting the school's unique offerings and benefits.
- Cultivate relationships with prospective families through phone calls, emails, and personal interactions.
- Manage inquiries, schedule tours, and track prospective family interactions.
- Process and review admission applications, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate admissions testing and assist with the evaluation of applicant files.
- Collaborate with the Business Office on tuition assistance needs.
- Oversee the enrollment process for accepted students, including online enrollment packets and onboarding.
- Maintain accurate records of student applications, enrollment, and waitlist status.
- Track and analyze enrollment data to identify trends and inform recruitment strategies.
- Marketing and Communications:
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to develop and implement effective marketing strategies.
- Assist in the creation and distribution of marketing materials, such as brochures, newsletters, and online content.
- Represent the school at school events, community events, and open houses.
- Manage the TCS admissions section of the school website and social media platforms, ensuring information is current and engaging.
- Customer Service and Relationship Building:
- Provide exceptional customer service to prospective families, addressing their questions and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Serve as a welcoming and knowledgeable point of contact for visitors to the campus.
- Build rapport with prospective families, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
- Maintain ongoing communication with families throughout the admissions process, providing timely updates and support.
- Collaborate with the New Family Onboarding team to ensure a smooth transition for new students and families.
- Teamwork and Leadership:
- Work collaboratively with the TFA 5-day Admissions team and other school staff to achieve enrollment goals.
- Participate in admissions team meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of admissions processes and initiatives.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Your service at The First Academy is a ministry. In your ministry role, it is imperative that you understand the importance of embracing a Christian Worldview and being an ambassador for the Gospel. The Baptist Faith and Message of 2000, The First Baptist Church of Orlando, and the School’s Statement of Faith outlined in Article III of its By-laws are the guidelines of Biblical interpretation and application to social and lifestyle issues at The First Academy. As an employee of The First Academy, you agree to minister and to be a role model to students and others within these guidelines.
- Bachelor's degree in education, business, marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in admissions, marketing, or customer service, preferably in a K-12 school setting.
- Evidence of a mature personal Christian faith consistent with The First Academy Statement of Faith.
- Strong understanding of the school's mission, vision, and values.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build rapport and cultivate relationships with prospective families and school stakeholders.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong time management skills.
- Proficiency in Google Office Suite and student information systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Consistent attendance is a job requirement.
