We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Bookkeeper / Office Manager to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview :
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper / Office Manager to oversee the financial records and manage office operations at The Flight Academy. This is a key position responsible for maintaining accurate financial reporting, managing office supplies, assisting with client communications, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping, office administration, and a passion for aviation.
Key Responsibilities :
- Bookkeeping & Financial Management :
- Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable / receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Handle payroll processing, tax filings, and other compliance-related financial tasks.
- Maintain accurate records for all company expenses, receipts, and financial documents.
- Office Administration :
- Manage day-to-day office operations, ensuring the office runs efficiently and effectively.
- Handle scheduling, office supplies, and general office maintenance.
- Provide administrative support to the leadership team as needed.
- Assist with client communications, inquiries, and appointment scheduling.
- Customer & Vendor Relations :
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, and partners.
- Manage and track contracts, agreements, and service-level expectations.
- Aviation Industry Knowledge (preferred) :
- While not required, familiarity with aviation, flight training programs, or the Cirrus Aircraft brand would be an asset. Qualifications :
- Education :
- A four-year degree
- Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in bookkeeping or a similar role.
- Proven experience managing office operations and providing administrative support.
- Skills & Competencies :
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks,) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
