SUMMARY
Part Time (Seasonal) - For the Fair Season ( January - February)
Become the back bone of smooth operations for the Florida State Fair! Drive operational excellence by ensuring the retrieval and delivery of all incoming and outgoing packages for the FSFA as well as facilitating mail runs, various runs to stores/restaurants, and ensure proper inventory and stocking of items.
Mail runs, deliver packages/food, pick up packages/food, help with receiving, help with inventory, keep inventory clean, help set up with any foods that are picked up.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure the retrieval of and delivery of all materials and equipment, to the Inventory/Purchasing office for proper processing.
- Facilitate disbursement of materials and equipment to all departments, once processed by inventory, and maintain a material/equipment sign sheet, assuring it was delivered to the proper department.
- Drive to the US post office for daily mail runs completed at 10:30am daily.
- Drive to various stores and restaurants multiple times daily to pick up varying goods.
- Support inventory areas by keeping them organized and updated.
- Create strong communication with other departments.
- Provide back up support to the Inventory Supervisor.
- Help to set up daily catered meals with Administration (Fair Time).
- Various other tasked assigned by the Inventory Supervisor/Fair Leadership
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent. One year of work related experience highly preferred. Must be familiar with the Tampa Bay area and be able to follow directions. Must have valid Driver’s License.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Basic computer skills and abilities
- Knowledge of tools and warehouse stocking
- Basic math abilities
- Good driving record
- Warehouse forklift training a plus
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, talk, hear, lift or move (more than 50 pounds), and occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. Environmental demands include exposure to wet/humidity, Dust, work near high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions. Duties are occasionally performed in an office setting. Operates computer and standard office equipment, such as telephone and copier/printer.
