Our Infrastructure Solutions business focuses on working with public agencies to solve challenges with our built infrastructure, improving the quality of life for all by helping people safely and efficiently travel, delivering clean water, and protecting public health. Primary Responsibilities
- Using prescribed methods, perform specific and limited portions of scientific assignments (May be in the office or in the field)
- Assist in the collection and analysis of data from sampling, reports, maps, drawings, tests and aerial photographs to evaluate, plan and permit projects
- Conduct water, soil, and other sampling and plant identification
- Perform site visits, field observations, and data collection assignments
- Perform field studies of civil development sites for impacts on protected wetlands and US Waterway system
- Assist in the completion of Waters of the US and Wetlands studies and reports (delineation, mitigation, alternatives analysis, monitoring), Endangered species studies, and US Army Corps of Engineers and Iowa Department of Natural Resources permitting & compliance (401 Water Quality Certification and 404 Permits)
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Botany, Environmental Engineering or similar discipline
- Experience with plant and soils identification as well as assisting with Wetland and Waters of the United States Delineations
