Picture Framer

The Frame Shop is seeking a an experienced Picture Framer to join us part-Time or fill-time. We are looking for someone with previous framing experience, but the ideal candidate will have knowledge in preservation framing. In addition, our shop services artists, designers, businesses, and locals in our community; great communication skills and an amicable phone manner are a must. Fridays and Saturdays are required, but flexible on other days. This is not a position for hobbyists or those without professional experience. Compensation will reflect the candidate’s experience.

Responsibilities will include:

- Greeting and working with clients at our design counter to fulfil their framing needs.

- Presenting appropriate framing materials for designs while also recommending premium options.

- Properly handling and storing artwork.

- Frame production, cutting glass, matts, mounting artwork, assembling frames.

- Processing orders for our partner company Everpresent.

Qualifications

- Experience in a design role, preferably in a framing or art-related setting

- Strong visual and artistic skills

- Excellent customer service and communication skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality

- Knowledge of framing materials and techniques

- Fundamental knowledge of math and measuring

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
