Job Summary
The Garrison Institute seeks an organized, flexible, and tech-savvy colleague to join its team as our Events and Office Coordinator. This full-time position involves a hybrid work schedule, including on-site and remote work, excluding event-related days and visiting groups.
Key Responsibilities
- Support logistics for retreats and events, including registration, coordination, and guest relations for both in-person and virtual events.
- Assist with internal event processes and customer service procedures on a weekly basis.
- Administer databases, perform data entry, and import files, while maintaining electronic and paper file systems.
- Handle incoming mail and correspondence, drafting, editing, and preparing various documents and reports.
- Screen and respond to incoming calls and special visitors, assist with public-facing inboxes and accounts.
- Order supplies, oversee basic office equipment, and conference room setup.
- Manage confidential assignments and work closely with Executive or Senior staff on special projects.
- Run errands and perform other administrative tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with 3 years of administrative and office support experience, preferably in a non-profit setting.
- Events and/or hospitality experience, including a prior customer service-focused role.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with external partners, guests, and staff team members.
- High proficiency in computers, MS Excel and Word, calendar software, CRM or databases, internet research, and Zoom webinar events/meetings.
- Proficiency in Salesforce CRM highly desired.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently, working independently when needed.
- Demonstrates high integrity, maintains discretion, and confidentiality in relationships and assigned projects.
- Maintains focus on the spiritual aspects of the Institute while projecting a calming, concerned, and compassionate influence in business and personal dealings.
