JOB SUMMARY
This position must have a strong knowledge of the functions, processes and procedures of the bank’s Operations area along with the ability to deal effectively with customers and bank personnel of all levels. Flexibility in this position is key as both roles and hours may be extended as necessary. As a reflection of The Goose River Bank, communication both verbally and non-verbally, and visual appearance is imperative to its on going success. Follows established bank policies and procedures for this area. This position requires a high degree of integrity, trust and confidentiality.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary
- Responsible for the daily activities associated with exception processing, ensuring proper workflow and documentation to meet deadlines and serve as customer point of contact.
- Responsible for the ongoing operations of the bank’s accounting, bookkeeping, and electronic banking functions
- Maintain and implement bank policies, procedures and controls, assist in insuring an effective and efficient operation and minimize risk of fraud or loss
- Reconcile monthly investment records and run entry tickets as needed
- Maintain confidentiality of customer conversations and information and proprietary bank information
- Take ownership of customers until issue is resolved by responding to inquiries and requests.
- Responsible for the Bank’s ACH originators, including training, annual review and on-sight visits, as well as building new ach payroll relationships.
- Develop and maintain all business banking relationships within our digital platform.
- Banks main point of contact with the Core’s ongoing case management.
Secondary
- Knowledge of the various products, services and delivery systems
- Deliver a consistent, superior customer service in accordance with GRB standards
- Provide support and service to co-workers to maintain and enhance customer service
- Active involvement in community and civic organizations, as appropriate to professionally represent GRB in the community
Additional
- Follow established opening and closing procedures
- Participate in training and bank meetings as related to position
SKILL REQUIREMENTS

- Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent along with basic math proficiency
- Previous banking or accounting experience preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate effectively with others, stand and use hands to finger and handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects. The employee is frequently required to walk, sit and to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. This position requires the ability to review detailed documents and read computer screens.

The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
