About us
The Governor's Inn is a Bed&Breakfast in the resort town of Ludlow, VT. The Inn has 9 guest rooms, welcoming guests year round. While our busiest times are during the fall and winter seasons, we enjoy a steady stream of guests from the Vermont Inn to Inn walking tour from mid May through the end of October. For the walking tour season we are looking for an assistant innkeeper for afternoons and evenings (3 p.m. - 8 p.m.) to help with the services offered to them during that time.
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant to join our team for afternoons and evenings during the walking tour season. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences by providing outstanding customer service and help the innkeepers with the tasks required during that time. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities
- Greet and interact with the guests. Help with check-in of arriving guests.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Support the innkeepers in the preparation of dinner for the walking tour guests.
- Help the innkeepers during the dinner service to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Participate in the cleaning of kitchen after dinner service.
Skills / Experience
- Experience in providing excellent customer service in a hospitality setting
- Attention to detail in maintaining a clean environment
- Good communication skills in a guest driven environment
- Ability to work with little supervision while maintaining a high level of performance
