This position plays a key role in advancing The Granite Y, a prominent nonprofit organization in New Hampshire dedicated to enhancing community well-being through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. This leader will manage the comprehensive operations of the Allard Center branch of the YMCA, overseeing membership growth, marketing initiatives, program execution, facility management, volunteer coordination, staff training and development, financial planning, and partnerships with local community organizations.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in social services, human services, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a YMCA setting or similar community-focused organization.
- At least five years of leadership experience in management roles such as Executive Director, Branch Director, Operations Manager, or similar positions.
- Proficient in overseeing comprehensive operations, including volunteer engagement, staff supervision, budgeting, marketing, public relations, and program innovation.
- Experience in management and development of volunteer involvement; ability to recruit top community leaders.
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
- Proven track record of developing authentic relationships with others.
- Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations.
- YMCA Multi-Team Leader or willing to obtain within 1 year.
Essential Job Functions:
- Recruit, train, and develop a dedicated team committed to fostering authentic community relationships.
- Collaborate on the development and monitoring of the branch operating budget, ensuring proactive financial forecasting.
- Implement and maintain effective member engagement strategies centered on relationship building with staff, volunteers, and community members.
- Champion an inclusive Y culture that values diversity, equity, and social justice.
- Fosters a climate of innovation to develop member-focused programs that support the Y mission, goals, and strategies.
- Ensures the safety and maintenance of high-quality facilities, grounds, and equipment.
- Coordinates with the Advisory Board chair a robust board development effort. Seeking a variety of diverse and qualified leaders to support the branch annual fundraising, strategic and mission impact goals.
- Represents and promotes the YMCA in the local community and develops positive working relationships with other organizations, businesses, and governmental entities.
- Seeks, cultivates and models collaborative relationships with community agencies in service delivery area.
- Coordinates branch marketing and communication efforts with VP of Marketing and Communication to ensure proactive and effective communication of the branch’s community benefit and impact.
- Supports the overall objectives of The Granite YMCA.
