GBFB is the largest hunger-relief organization in New England and among the largest food banks in the country. GBFB is considered an essential response organization in times of disaster. As such, Team Me mbers are expected to report to GBFB locations as required, after securing the safety of their families, and may be asked to perform duties that are critical (but outside of their regularly assigned duties) in times of disaster.
Senior Director of Technology Operations
The Sr. Director is responsible for long term vision, leadership and strategic direction of enterprise-wide solutions. Critical to this role is the ability to use technology to translate GBFB needs into workable, scalable business solutions for all stakeholders in the ecosystem by delivering operational effectiveness and stakeholder engagement. This position reports to the VP of Digital Strategy and Technical Operations.Responsibilities :
Run day to day tasks, prioritize case management for the technology operations team.Identify opportunities to exploit technical innovations for business benefit, and promotes these through technology strategy and architecture definition workDefine and manage the target technical and security architectures to promote service standardization.Develop roadmaps to improve IT services and their underlying technology components while managing Technology implementations.Plan the development of technology operations service capability to improve service and reduce the overall costsManage budget for the Technology Operations teamMaintain a long-term investment plan in line with the strategic roadmapsOversee the production of high-level designs for service development and infrastructure changes, working closely with the team responsible for detailed design including with third party vendors as appropriateEnsure close working with PMO to conduct product and vendor selection for architectural componentsManage an effective technology governance regime and quality management system that gives appropriate control and assurance of activities to meet planned outcomesActively promotes the use of industry best practice through ensuring key processes are well documented and are aligned to the recognized industry best practice models and embedded accordingly, e.g. ITILDeliver improvements to the IT Strategy and Architecture function, E.g. Architecture Review Team, Innovation Lab etc.Ensure that together the team is focused on achieving results using all resources available from initiation through to delivery and feels comfortable to challenge and be challengedEnsures staff communicate complex technical messages appropriatelySkills :
