About the Company:
Our client is a boutique real estate company in NYC that is expanding their existing footprint with several new and exciting projects throughout the US! They are looking to bring on their FIRST internal accounting hire to work hand in hand with the head of asset management!!
**CPA IS REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A CPA YOU WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED**
Responsibilities:
- Support daily accounting for various transactions and activities.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and year-end work papers from journal entries and GL analysis.
- Strategically manage cash flow for properties, including major repairs and capital improvements.
- Prepare and review capital calls and distribution allocations while maintaining partner capital account balances.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and calculate firm revenues, such as management fees, carried interest, and incentive fees.
- Conduct financial statement analysis for management and partner reporting.
- Develop reporting templates and analysis using tools like Excel and Yardi.
- Collaborate with asset management on monthly cash flow forecasting and annual budgeting.
- Work with Investment and Asset Management teams to improve internal and investor reporting.
- Track property-specific deadlines, including tax, insurance, and lender reporting.
- Review loan documents, partnership agreements, regulatory agreements, and closing statements.
- Support acquisition and disposition due diligence.
- Communicate effectively with investors, lenders, property managers, and tenants.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or other relevant field
- Minimum of 3 years of Real Estate of Construction industry experience
- Outstanding team player with good interpersonal skills
- Experience with CCIP/OCIP project administration and analysis is a plus
- Quickbooks or similar system experience is a BIG plus
Salary : $100,000 - $130,000
