Our client, an upscale mid-sized club, has an immediate need for a controller. The controller will report directly to the general manager and will be primarily responsible for overseeing all finance and accounting functions.

Duties include :
- Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable / receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow to ensure financial objectives are met.
- Conduct regular financial analyses to guide decision-making and maximize profitability.
- Manage external audits, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with department leaders to maintain a positive, family-friendly workplace culture.
Oversee human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management.
Train, mentor, and supervise a staff of direct reports within the finance and membership departments.
Work closely with the Membership Department to track and maintain accurate member records and billing.
Collaborate with the General Manager to develop and implement membership programs and initiatives.
Candidates for the controller position should have a minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience. A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
