We are searching for Lower School Activity Program - Junior Staff for our Summer Camp Program!!
Estimated hourly range: $17.95 - $19.00/hour

Summer programs at Harker include a wide variety of academic and recreational offerings. We offer an academically focused K - 5 Summer Camp; the Summer Institute for Middle and High School-aged students; and our English Language Institute for international students. Position Summary
Provide a positive environment for campers to learn and develop lifelong skills. Help to plan and supervise camper activities that contribute to camp goals and individual camper development. This position is responsible and for maintaining the physical and emotional safety of the campers.
Qualifications
Requirements, Essential Duties and Responsibilities that are listed below are for Junior Staff
- Satisfactory completion of the camp CIT program or previous experience.
- A work permit.
- Proof of attendance in the previous school term
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Help activity group develop as a cooperative unit.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of activities that promote camper self-esteem and encourage camper success.
- Set a good example for campers and others including, punctuality, dress, language and behavior.
- Attend and participate in Jr. Staff training sessions.
- Complete projects and assignments as instructed in training sessions.
- Participate in evening program as scheduled.
- Attend and actively participate in all staff meetings.
- Assist in the setup of camp before opening day and in the break down of camp on closing day.
- Participate in camp wide evaluations of programs and peers.
- Assist adults during supervision times.
- Ensure the safe operation of the camp and the safety of all participants.
