What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Director - Women's position at The Healing Place?
POSITION SUMMARY
Oversee the programmatic operations and ensure the safe, uninterrupted operation of The Healing Place Women’s recovery program, ensuring compliance and high-quality client care.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Supervise all programmatic staff in the Women’s facility, including Detox/Overnight Manager, Transitional Care, and peer mentors.
- Facilitate weekly clinical supervision for peer mentors and ensure the program curriculum is implemented correctly.
- Maintain compliance with AODE licenses, city licenses, PREA, and contracts/grants from the Department of Corrections and Veteran Services.
- Manage interdepartmental communication and workflow processes to ensure smooth operations across services.
- Coordinate client care processes with Clinical Services, Medical Services, Admissions Department, Detox, and Phase II to ensure continuity of care.
- Ensure that staff meet minimum training requirements and document training annually and upon initial hire.
- Provide clinical supervision as permitted by licensure.
- Screen and assess clients to ensure appropriateness for the program, referring those who do not meet criteria.
- Supervise information, screening, referral, and intake services for each program
- Facilitate community meetings three times per week and one peer mentor community meeting each week.
- Evaluate and assess program criteria quarterly to ensure appropriate client admissions and fidelity to THP models and philosophies of care.
- Participate in the Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Committee.
- Consult with other clinical staff as necessary and participate in clinical staffing for case consultation.
- Serve as a liaison between The Healing Place and external agencies, representing the organization effectively.
- Respond to emergency requests, providing crisis intervention services as appropriate.
- Work with Operations to ensure that the facility is maintained and secure.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Men’s Program Services to ensure program consistency and fidelity.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree Preferred but experience can substitute
- 2 years of Management Experience Required
- CADC preferred
- 2 years of Substance Use Treatment Experience Required
