Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Assistant Head Chef to help lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong background in kitchen management, ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. As the Assistant Head Chef, you will be responsible for helping to facilitate all aspects of food production while maintaining high standards of food safety. You will be expected to work with the Head Chef in preperation of specials and new menu items. This role requires excellent leadership skills and the ability to manage inventory effectively while ensuring quality in every dish served.
Responsibilities
- Work with head chef to lead and manage the kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality food production.
- Help develop and design creative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Help oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies, managing stock levels, and minimizing waste.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Manage shift schedules effectively to maintain optimal staffing levels during peak service times.
- Help train new kitchen staff on culinary techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen protocols.
- Monitor food presentation and quality to ensure consistency in every dish served.
- Assist in catering services for special events, ensuring exceptional service and culinary excellence.
Experience
- Proven experience as a line cook or sous chef -- with drive to succeed and grow.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen management practices, including inventory management and food safety standards.
- Experience in menu development and catering services is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food production processes.

Pay: $48,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
