Position Purpose:
The HDDC Receptionist is the first point of contact for clients and are responsible for creating a warm, inviting, and friendly introduction to the HDDC. Receptionists' will greet and educate clients on the inspirational services the HDDC offers to make their dream kitchen and/or bath a reality. HDDC Receptionists' are responsible for handling front office reception and administration duties, scheduling and rescheduling appointments, and handling basic inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
90% Customer Service:
- Follows up with clients via telephone when appropriate
- Update calendars and schedules meetings for associates
- Resolves client complaints or involves the appropriate manager to ensure customer satisfaction
- Greet clients and offer a beverage as they enter the HDDC
- Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary materials (e.g. pens, forms, and brochures)
- Answer phone calls from clients, vendors, stores, etc. and route to the appropriate party
- Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail/deliveries
- Routinely develops skills in related areas of expertise
- Stays abreast of daily, weekly, monthly sales reports
- Proactively seeks knowledge on all HDDC products and services
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
- This position reports to the Showroom Manager.
Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Typically located in a comfortable indoor area. There may be regular exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors such as dust, fumes or odors, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights.
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
- Must be available evenings and weekends
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 years of Specialty Retail (Professional certifications are not required)
- Ability to use common office software applications, such as Outlook and Word
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Minimum Education:
- The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.
