What You Will Do
At HNI, we're not just about furniture; we're about transforming spaces where people live, work, and gather. Integrity, inclusion, and belonging are at the heart of everything we do. As a Quality Manager you will be responsible for:
- Manage quality related long-term planning, analytics and metrics
- Manage customer service requests and selection
- Develop gap analysis and action plans to continually improve Quality Management System (QMS)
- Lead and/or participate in continuous improvement events while instilling quality culture
- Develop and deploy Layered Process Audits System
- Participate and/or lead quality corrective action process by ensuring containment, corrective actions and poke-yoke implementation
- Build Quality Competencies and capabilities through influence
- Acquire, develop, retain, manage talent at the individual and team level
- Bachelor’s degree preferred. A minimum of 4 years of progressive professional manufacturing/operations experience (preferably in multiple manufacturing functions).
- Ability to understand the needs of internal and external customers, the business and the competitive landscape
- Solid understanding of QMS (Quality Management Systems)
- Ability to develop strategic plans, manage performance of a business function, and lead projects independently
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and to interact with all organizational levels
- Demonstrated ability to lead change, handle multiple projects, and incorporate manufacturing principles
- Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with proven ability to own an initiative and drive successful results for multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication, presentation and organizational skills
- Resourcefulness in problem solving
