About The Hub
Launched in 2016, The Hub Project is a nonprofit effort made up of a growing team of communications, research, and organizing experts with extensive experience in campaign strategy, digital, polling, and analytics. We believe in a country where everyone has the opportunity to succeed in our economy and participate in our democracy. We make that vision a reality by partnering with advocacy groups – bringing surge capacity and coordination to build innovative and effective campaigns.
Position Summary
The Hub Project is looking for a Senior Director of Partnerships to help expand our reach and deepen our partnerships at the national, state, and local level as we advocate for a fairer economy, a more inclusive democracy, and ownership over decisions about our reproductive health. The ideal candidate has a broad network within the progressive ecosystem, a knack for locating voices that are key to the conversation at hand, and is able and eager to build relationships on behalf of the Hub Project in order to advance our progressive policy agenda.
This role will work closely across our executive team and with the Senior Director of Federal Affairs and includes mentoring and management of the partnerships team that is working in support of a broad range of campaigns.
This role is part of the senior leadership team at The Hub, and will require close collaboration across campaign teams, and directly with our executive team.
As Senior Director of Partnerships, you will:
- Work collaboratively with the executive team and partnerships team to develop partnerships strategies and relationships that support the goals of any individual campaign plan and support the Hub’s progressive policy agenda.
- Identify, track, and cultivate key relationships with partners inside and outside of the progressive movement.
- Lead, coach, and mentor partnerships managers to help them grow their networks, leverage key relationships, and advance policy goals.
- Serve as a thought leader within the organization and within the progressive space in thinking about how we build coalitions and partnerships that serve multiple organizations’ strategic goals.
About you:
- You have at least 7 years of professional experience in political campaigns or advocacy.
- You have demonstrated leadership skills and a high level of competency in a management role.
- You have a broad network and experience building purpose driven relationships.
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- You have a passion for and a curiosity about the way the progressive movement is changing and evolving in our current environment.
- You have a solid understanding of progressive values and policies and how they create cross pressures within American politics.
- You are detail-oriented with the ability to juggle multiple projects for different stakeholders, often in rapid-response or high-pressure situations.
- You’re committed to progressive values and prioritizing diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout your work.
Benefits
Comprehensive benefits package that includes 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance for employees (and their families). Employees are able to enroll in 401k retirement plan and are eligible for a 3% automatic contribution and up to a 3% employer match on 401k contributions. Employees are also eligible for pre-tax transportation benefits. Employees will receive 120 hours of vacation time, 80 hours of health leave, up to 2 days of casual leave, and 20 hours of volunteer leave annually. Employees will also receive 13 paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are eligible for 12 weeks of paid family and medical leave after 90 days of employment.
