Compliance Specialist (candidate identified)

The COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST works with the Property/Regional or Area Manager in the general administration of the property and performs all related management functions.  The Compliance Specialist plays a vital role in supporting property operations and ensuring compliance with financial targets and standards in affordable housing. In addition, the COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST is to be fully cross trained on the Property Manager’s duties and act in that capacity in the absence of the Property Manager.  In addition, the COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST will co-manage with the Area Manager/Property Manager or Regional Manager to oversee maintenance staff to ensure all duties are being fulfilled.    Compliance Specialist will ensure compliance with properties with HUD or Affordable Programs.  Travel may be required to ensure compliance or provide training to staff.   Oversight of HUD/IHDA requirements for Lakewood Tower, Lake Villa, IL.   To ensure all files are compliant with HUD/IHDA requirements for income, etc. All files will be reviewed and approved for all move-ins and renewals. Ensure files are compliant with requirements to pass all inspections/audits. Regional Manager to be notified if deficiencies exist.  Monitor HUD/IHDA rent adjustments and utility allowances and ensure all adjustments are compliant.  Any reporting or HUD/IHDA paperwork will be completed and compliant. Monitor property for any updates or requirements that exist, and ensure compliance with any future requirements.     Will conduct monthly audits on site and will send Regional Manager monthly compliance report.  Other duties as assigned.

Salary : $50,000 - $55,000
