Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Licensure/certification: None
Previous Work Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience with medical billing including insurance claims processing and denials. Working knowledge of medical terminology required. Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience is required.
SKILLS
- Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
- Ability to read and write legibly and understand/follow written and verbal directions.
- Ability to direct the work of others while personally handling multiple tasks in a variety of situations.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. in addition to keyboarding and 10-key.
- Requires organizational and self-motivational skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and focused amid constant interruptions in a fast-paced
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Ability to assess situations, make informed decisions and work within delegated authority.
- Ability to think independently and use good judgement for situations which require initiative and innovation to appropriately resolve and escalate issues.
