As a Development Associate, Donor Relations on Federation’s Financial Resource Development (FRD) team, you’ll play a critical role in driving fundraising success by delivering exceptional donor experiences, optimizing operational support, and using data-driven insights to strengthen relationships. Your work will ensure that every donor feels valued, engaged, and connected to our mission.

What You’ll Do:
🔹 Deliver Unparalleled Donor Support: Be the first point of contact for donor inquiries via email and phone, ensuring that every donor receives timely, thoughtful, and personalized support.
🔹 Optimize Operational Support: Handle essential fundraising tasks such as gift acknowledgments, pledge reminders, tribute and condolence cards, event registrations, and donor commitments—ensuring smooth and efficient operations. Perform some administrative tasks, such as calendaring and submitting invoices, as needed.
🔹 Be a Data & Operations Powerhouse: Serve as a database expert, keeping donor information clean, accurate, and up-to-date while generating reports and insights that fuel strategic fundraising efforts.
🔹 Steward & Engage Donors: Build and strengthen relationships with Community Campaign donors through phone calls, emails, and text campaigns, ensuring they feel appreciated and ask for their continued support of our mission.
🔹 Innovate & Improve Systems: Work with the team to streamline donor relations processes, implement more efficient systems, and enhance the overall donor experience.
What We’re Looking For:
- A people-person who enjoys providing outstanding customer service.
- A process-driven thinker who loves organizing, analyzing, and optimizing systems.
- An effective communicator to external and internal stakeholders, who is comfortable in engaging with colleagues and volunteers at all levels of the organization
- A detail-oriented professional with the ability to work independently, perform well under pressure, balance multiple tasks and exhibit sound judgement
- Someone with database experience (or a willingness to learn!) who enjoys working with data.
- A team player who is eager to collaborate and make a meaningful impact
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, and comfortable with and open to new technology
- Commitment to the mission of The Jewish Federation
- Knowledge of the Jewish community, its customs and practices is preferred
- Bachelor's degree required
