Key Responsibilities
- Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Account Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day administration of employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
- Manage renewals, enrollments, and changes to employee benefits plans.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of benefits documentation and claims.
- Plan Analysis and Recommendations:
- Analyze existing benefits plans and recommend improvements or changes based on client needs and market trends.
- Present plan options to clients, explaining the benefits and costs associated with each.
- Quoting and Marketing:
- Obtain quotes from various carriers and negotiate the best rates and coverage for clients.
- Prepare and present proposals to clients, highlighting key features and benefits.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure all benefits plans comply with federal and state regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, plan details, and communications.
- Client Education and Support:
- Conduct open enrollment meetings and other educational sessions to inform clients and their employees about benefits options and changes.
- Provide ongoing support to clients, assisting with benefits questions and issues throughout the year.
- Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Work closely with insurance carriers, underwriters, and other internal team members to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for expanding client relationships and growing the business.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in employee benefits account management or a related role.
- In-depth knowledge of employee benefits plans, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
- Strong understanding of relevant federal and state regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed recommendations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and insurance management software.
- Life & Health Insurance License
- Relevant certifications such as CEBS (Certified Employee Benefit Specialist) or PHR (Professional in Human Resources) are preferred but not required.
Salary : $85,000 - $120,000
