The Personal Lines Producer is expected to understand clients' unique needs, provide tailored insurance solutions, and ensure high-quality customer service and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and referrals.
- Build relationships with potential clients and grow the agency's personal lines portfolio.
- Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales goals.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction, renewals, and long-term retention.
- Assess clients' insurance needs, provide advice, and recommend the best coverage options.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, responding promptly to inquiries and addressing issues as they arise.
- Insurance Needs Assessment:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' personal insurance needs and recommend appropriate coverage options.
- Provide risk assessments and advise clients on adequate protection for their assets (home, auto, valuables, etc.).
- Stay informed about changes in clients’ circumstances and adjust coverage accordingly.
- Proposal Creation and Presentations:
- Prepare and present clear, concise insurance proposals to potential and existing clients.
- Explain policy terms, conditions, and pricing in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Customize insurance packages to meet the needs and preferences of each client.
- Quote Management and Policy Issuance:
- Work with insurance carriers to obtain quotes for clients and ensure competitive pricing.
- Present quotes and help clients compare options to make informed decisions.
- Process new policies, renewals, and changes to existing policies accurately and promptly.
- Cross-Selling and Upselling:
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling additional personal lines products, such as life or umbrella insurance.
- Increase overall client value by recommending coverage upgrades or additional products based on client needs.
- Client Retention:
- Engage in proactive renewal discussions to prevent policy cancellations.
- Assist clients with claims, policy changes, and other service requests to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams:
- Work closely with account managers, underwriters, and customer service teams to ensure smooth policy issuance and service.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure that clients' insurance needs are met efficiently.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Active state insurance license (Property and Casualty) is required.
- Previous experience in personal lines insurance sales or customer service is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of personal insurance products, such as home, auto, renters, and umbrella policies.
- Exceptional communication, sales, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in insurance software, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
