Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise teams of Maintenance Mechanics and Electricians in predictive and preventative maintenance, as well as machine repair.
- Develop, implement, and oversee maintenance systems, processes, and documentation for efficient manufacturing operations (e.g., preventative/predictive maintenance, total productive maintenance (TPM), standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety protocols).
- Schedule maintenance activities, coordinating with production to ensure timely equipment and facility repairs.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and report maintenance performance (e.g., supplier performance, contractor performance, equipment reliability, overall equipment effectiveness).
- Provide long-term solutions and daily support for troubleshooting, problem analysis, and equipment failures.
- Train employees on proper work methods and safety procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and inventory.
- Provide regular status reports to the maintenance management team.
- In the absence of key personnel, complete or delegate required tasks.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, with 2 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience leading teams, providing training, coaching, or mentoring.
- Advanced technical skills in areas such as refrigeration, boilers, compressed air, mechanical, and electrical systems (including PLCs and instrumentation) within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance systems, work order processes, preventative/predictive maintenance, TPM, and inventory/scheduling software.
- Strong leadership skills, including conflict resolution, facilitation, and decision-making.
- Proven ability to lead problem-solving and troubleshooting efforts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong planning and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the maintenance department.
- Manage employee responsibilities, including hiring, training, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
- Combination of office and plant environment.
- Plant environment may include wet, humid, cold, or hot conditions, exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, and chemicals.
- Moderate to loud noise levels in production areas.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision requirements, including close vision, distance vision, and focus adjustment.
- Frequent standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and talking/hearing.
