Printing / Pressroom Supervisor Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Printing / Pressroom Supervisor to oversee the production of our company products at our North American plant in Nashville, TN. The successful candidate will have knowledge of product technology, production methods and procedures, as well as the capabilities of machines, equipment, and personnel.
This is a night shift position working 12 hours shifts, Monday through Thursday 4 on / 3 off.
Responsibilities:
- Implement procedures and monitor quality, production, and waste.
- Conduct plant walkthroughs with supervisors between shifts to discuss issues or hot items.
- Maintain goals for machine production, quality, waste, plant safety, and cleanliness.
- Complete final job approvals on daily production runs.
- Coordinate routine maintenance checks of machines for preventative maintenance and repairs needed.
- Communicate production schedules established by Production Planner with previous and following shift.
- Monitor and track daily attendance of all employees on shift.
- Check unavailable roll stock report on a daily basis.
- Complete performance reviews of employees in a timely manner.
- Conduct monthly safety and quality meetings with employees.
- Oversight and maintenance of production equipment.
- Communication with Customer Service Department to answer questions on production capabilities.
- Review jobs for appropriate specifications and the department's ability to run them when new orders are being placed.
- Assist operators when needed in maintaining and adjusting equipment.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- College Degree Preferred
- 2-3 Years of more of Supervisor Experience in Manufacturing
- 3 Years of Printing / Pressroom Experience - Flexographic, Offset or Digital Printing Experience
- Knowledge of Ink Systems Printing Equipment
- Ability to Work Night Shift - Candidates Open to Shift preferred
