Property Description :
The Land is a premier sports, recreation, and events complex located in Saraland, Alabama. This state-of-the-art complex will offer a wide range of community amenities, including indoor sports and recreation facilities, versatile event spaces, and an expansive outdoor area with multi-use fields and courts for various sports. The Land will feature five multipurpose fields for football, field hockey, lacrosse, and soccer, alongside eight baseball and softball diamonds, including a 400-foot regulation-size field. Six tennis courts, pickleball courts, a beach volleyball court, full-service concessions, hiking path and trails, and an event lawn offer endless outdoor recreation activities. The Land’s indoor recreation center will include four basketball courts, eight volleyball courts, an indoor track, fitness center, family entertainment center, and adaptable event spaces complete with food and beverage amenities. The projected completion date for the outdoor complex is fall 2024, with the indoor recreation center anticipated to open in spring 2025.
Position Summary :
As a successful Park Superintendent, you will be responsible for supporting all operations in our sports complex, maintaining all grounds and buildings. Ensuring all playing surfaces, grounds and facilities are ready for guest for all events. Will lead the maintenance team supporting all facets
of the sports complex. Will work closely with the operations team to schedule
workload and present park to our guests. Fostering a spirit of teamwork a Park Superintendent will provide oversight and direction to the team in the operating unit in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Lead, motivate and drive facilities, landscape and events crews to meet deadlines in preparing thecomplex for tournaments and events.
- Customer Service minded.

- Professional attitude, dress and appearance in accordance with the company dress standards.
- Implement maintenance schedule for all synthetic turf, landscape and hardscape areas.
- Study and research different chemical and mechanical ways to increase aesthetics of the park.
- Study and research different efficiency plans for inside and outside the park.
- Implement safety policies and procedures specific to landscape maintenance.
- Set up and oversee all training briefs for landscape staff.
- Seek opportunities to learn and grow through research and seminars.
- Support team in preparation and maintenance of playing field for tournament and event setup.
- Coordinating with government partners and their facility support staffs in managing areas of operation responsibility.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Monitor facility activities and make recommendations to improve customer service and / or operational efficiencies.
- Maintain knowledge of current and projected industry developments through continuous attention to trade publications and organizations.
- Assure the efficient and timely submission of all required operational, financial, budgetary reports.
- Cross train other key staff members regarding the general sales process and important components as appropriate to facilitate the overall success of the team.
