POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for controlling and accounting of transactions for the cage windows, main bank, chip bank and check bank. Performs high volume cash and non-cash transactions for our guests and internal customers in a courteous, accurate, and timely manner.
- Responsible for various cash transactions and answering customer questions in a courteous and professional manner.
- Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information in accordance with established procedures with company policy and state regulations.
- Performs verifications on loose and bundled money, coin transactions and check cashing.
- Processes jackpots, cashes checks, redeems valid gaming vouchers received from patrons for an equivalent amount of cash and redeems chips for cash. Other transaction types may occur.
- Safeguards company assets and adheres to all cage policies and procedures to include Internal Control Policies and Procedures, SDCG state regulations, Bank Securities Act, Title 31 Rules and Regulations, and the company’s Responsible Gaming Plan.
- Maintains and is held accountable for all funds entrusted on an assigned shift.
- Balances all money transactions and paperwork.
- Monitors for fraud, forged/counterfeit currency and/or vouchers or chips.
- Balances all funds under his/her responsibility and prepares reconciliation reports accordingly.
- Provides training to other team members at the request of management.
- Professionally answers incoming calls with courtesy and assists with needs, or forwards to appropriate contact/department.
- Maintains excellent communication skills and good working relations with other departments.
- Administers paging or overhead announcements in a clear, professional voice.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provides the highest level of personalized attention and guest service.
- Present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional appearance.
- Diligently monitors the casino floor and requests valid identification to ensure that all customers are at least 21 years of age.
- Strictly adheres to company policies and gaming regulations in accordance with the South Dakota Commission on Gaming.
- Keeps the property clean, attractive, and safe.
- Safeguards assets of the company.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Support or Key License with the South Dakota Commission on Gaming. https://dor.sd.gov/individuals/gaming/

- Experience in casino gaming operations, customer service, or hospitality a plus
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures and multi-tasking.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite related software; slot systems and point of sale system experience a plus.
ABILITIES & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time on a daily basis, walk to various areas of the casino, and be able to push, pull or move heavy objects with assistance.
- Work environment may include variable temperature, lighting, and noise levels.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends, nights, and holidays based on business needs.
