Summary :
The Manlift Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating manlifts and aerial lifts to perform elevated work tasks on a large-scale civil construction project . This role requires experience maneuvering boom lifts, scissor lifts, and telescopic lifts while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project specifications . The Manlift Operator will work closely with other construction crew members to provide access to elevated work areas for various tasks, including structural installations, maintenance, and inspections.
Responsibilities :
- Operate manlifts, aerial lifts, boom lifts, and scissor lifts to support elevated work tasks safely and efficiently.
- Position and maneuver lifts accurately to provide safe access for workers performing tasks at height.
- Conduct daily pre-operation inspections and complete the Daily Equipment Inspection Checklist to ensure the proper functionality of lifts.
- Monitor load limits and ensure all work is performed within the lift's operational capacity.
- Follow all OSHA fall protection standards and ensure proper use of harnesses, lanyards, and safety equipment .
- Maintain awareness of surrounding crew members, job site conditions, and overhead obstacles to operate machinery safely.
- Assist with lifting, positioning, and securing materials when working in elevated positions.
- Perform minor maintenance, cleaning, and servicing of equipment as needed.
- Work closely with project managers, supervisors, and other construction personnel to coordinate work tasks.
- Adhere to all company policies and site-specific safety regulations while operating equipment.
- Assist in other job site duties, including general labor, as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor or project manager .
