Job Summary: The RN Administrative Coordinator works under the supervision of the Director of Nursing to perform services according to the policies, procedures, philosophy, and objectives of the departments and hospital. Works cooperatively within department and other services to create a system of quality health care. The Nursing Administrative Coordinator (AC) is a leadership role with responsibility for patient flow. The AC will assign patients from ED to units, book admissions from ED, oversee staffing according the unit matrix. Works closely with unit managers to meet nursing staffing levels. Also rounds on units with doctors and managers and responds to codes. This is fast-paced role that requires a strong nursing background, ideally with strong critical care experience. Hours: 24 hours, Nights: 7pm- 7am Requirements: MA nursing license and 3-5 years of RN experience BSN preferred BLS, ACLS required Critical care experience strongly preferred Magnet Designation: The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) honored Lowell General Hospital with Magnet Recognition for excellence in nursing care for a 3rd designation.
