Program Coordinator (Operations-Focused)

Overview:
The Program Manager ensures The Lucy Project's literacy programs run smoothly and effectively, ensuring staff and schools have everything they need to succeed. This role oversees program logistics, supervises program leaders and learning specialists, and tracks impact metrics to ensure all objectives are met.
This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented leader who thrives in operations, logistics, and team management while being deeply committed to literacy success.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Oversight & Coordination
- Manage daily operations of literacy programs across multiple school sites.
- Ensure all staff have the materials, schedules, and resources they need.
- Oversee logistics to ensure contractual obligations (e.g., number of sessions, parent meetings) are met.
Staff Supervision & Support
- Supervise and evaluate Program Leaders and Learning Specialists.
- Support hiring and onboarding (final hiring decisions made by leadership).
- Provide ongoing guidance to ensure smooth program execution.
Parent & School Engagement
- Attend parent meetings and train program staff to do the same.
- Ensure that parent engagement efforts are properly executed.
- Maintain strong communication with partner schools.
Data & Impact Tracking
- Monitor program impact metrics (e.g., attendance, student progress).
- Generate reports to track program success and areas for improvement.
- Use Google Sheets, Excel, and CRM software (training provided).
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in program management, nonprofit operations, or a related field.
- Bilingual (English & Spanish required).
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing teams and conducting staff evaluations.
- Ability to track data and generate reports.
- Comfortable with public speaking and parent engagement (training provided).
- No teaching experience required, but a passion for literacy and education is essential.
