Prince George's County Department of Parks and Recreation is seeking a Theatrical/Event Technical Assistant to join the team at the Montpelier Arts Center.

The Theatrical/Event Technical Assistant will:
- Assist with load in, rehearsals, performances and strikes
- Troubleshoot problems with light and sound equipment, operate light board, follow spots, maintain operational records
- Assist with set up for special events, classes and other programs at the facility and within the Arts and Cultural Heritage Division.
- Knowledge of some of the theatrical equipment, materials, practice and tools used in theatrical lighting, sound rigging and scenic production.
- Knowledge of common hazards, and necessary safety precautions involved with theatre work.
- Strength and dexterity are necessary to perform all required tasks including lifting, bending, working in tiring and uncomfortable positions and from ladders and bucket lift.
- Knowledge of visual arts/exhibitions/gallery maintenance preferred.
- College degree or technical certification and experience required.
