Job Description
As a skilled tradesperson at The Maschhoffs, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities. Your primary duties will include installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical products, equipment, and systems.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform installation, operation, maintenance, or repair to ensure that machines or equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.
- Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, or maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems, or processes to meet requirements.
- Confer with maintenance project engineers and management to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, or provide technical information.
- Provide technical customer service on farm to reduce disruption to day-to-day operations.
- Direct the installation, operation, maintenance, or repair of equipment, such as heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) or water systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding, Construction, Electrical, or similar areas of study.
- Minimum 1-2 years of mechanical equipment repair and/or maintenance experience, preferably within the swine industry.
- Clean driving record.
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and ventilation systems, Microsoft Office Suite, fuse boxes, and electrical testing equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, follow verbal/written instructions, and willingness to learn new skills.
