What are the responsibilities and job description for the Client Associate position at The Mather Group?
The Mather Group (TMG) operates as a fee-only, $1 Billion AUM, wealth management firm, specializing in retirement planning for corporate executives and high net worth individuals. The firm was founded in 2001 and became an independent Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) in 2011. As they continue to expand their national footprint with offices in multiple states, they seek a Senior Wealth Advisor. As the main point of contact, will actively communicate with clients on a daily basis, providing advice on cash flows/tax planning strategies, estate/insurance issues, identify investment goals/retirement planning needs and implement recommendations with assistance of support staff. In addition, this position will meet with referrals in their territory and effectively close sales with the support of a leading financial planning team.

about THE POSITION
As a Client Associate, you will be integrated within our Wealth Advisor Development Program. This program is designed to give entry-level professionals the opportunity to learn and navigate toward the role of an experienced Wealth Advisor.
As a Client Associate, you will be responsible for:
Calling prospective clients each day to articulate TMG’s value proposition (this will fill the majority of each day during the first year of the aspiring Wealth Advisor)
Driving business development through our proprietary sales process
Gathering information and building financial plans for prospective clients using MoneyGuidePro’s financial planning software
Working with the Investment Committee to put together investment proposals, 401k recommendations, and financial product cost analyses for prospective clients
Learning all facets of TMG’s technology platforms and integrations
Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring college students for TMG’s summer internship program
Assisting the Tax Team in tax preparation and Roth conversion strategies
Enrolling in and completing a CFP program offered by a reputable university within three years of employment
Ensuring professional development through ongoing education and participation in Wealth Management information sessions led by senior advisors
Assisting with firmwide projects, as requested
Reporting to the Manager of Inside Sales
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:
1 year of professional experience in the Financial Services industry
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with concentration in Financial Planning, Business, or Communications
Strong track record of achievement and meeting/exceeding ambitious targets
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A motivated, self-starter looking for a place to grow your career
