Job Summary
NEW RESTAURANT, 1925, opening at The Mayo Hotel seeking a Bartender to support Bar Manager. Come be a part of a new Boutique Dining Experience!
The ideal candidate will possess a passion for mixology and exceptional customer service skills, ensuring that every guest has a memorable experience. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages following set recipes, providing excellent service, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers in a timely manner.
- Engage with guests to provide recommendations and ensure satisfaction with their drink choices.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
- Operate the TOAST POS system for order entry and payment processing.
- Assist with banquet and catering events as needed, ensuring all beverage service meets company standards.
- Monitor customer behavior to ensure responsible alcohol service and compliance with legal regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service when necessary.
- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately, demonstrating basic math skills for effective payment processing.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is mandatory.
- Keep up to date on new and innovative drink trends.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Toast POS, is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing tabs effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
- A passion for mixology and willingness to learn new techniques is highly desirable.
