Overview:
We are looking for a bright and energetic individual with a go-getter attitude who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment to join our team! This position supports and performs front desk, shipping & receiving functions as well as other various office services for our client.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
• Greet and welcome employees to the building.
• Efficiently check in visitors and notify their parties of their arrivals.
• Maintain a clean and presentable front desk and lobby area.
• Receive and sort mail and distribute mail to appropriate recipients or departments
• Prepare and process outbound courier shipments using computer or service provider's equipment such as UPS.
• Ensure delivery of outgoing mail to courier or post office.
• Serve as liaison for mail service for client departments. Make timely collection of outgoing mail. (letters, parcels, U.S. Postal, interdepartmental)
• Track and maintain records and logs of mailing.
• Sort & distribute incoming parcel shipments from USPS, UPS, DHL and FedEx mail.
• Postage machine: Maintain postage loaded on machine, request maintenance as needed
• Deliver boxes of paper to copy areas.
• Able to appropriately handle confidential and highly sensitive material.
• Perform daily restocking of coffee and tea supplies and rinsing of coffee machines
• Load, run and/or empty dishwashers as necessary
• Note pass-downs for Janitorial team in their communication binder
• Assist with on-site event/training room set-up, as needed
• Inventory mailing supplies
• Order general office supplies
• All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years customer service and shipping/receiving related experience preferred
• Corporate reception or front desk experience a plus
• Strong customer service skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Postage Meter, UPS, FedEx, DHL knowledge a plus
• Experience with international shipping a plus
• 1-3 years' experience with Microsoft Software
• Ability to effectively work individually and in a team environment
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to meet employer's attendance policy
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
• Attention to detail.
