Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all shipping/receiving activities for site; inspects, verifies, receives, process, and deliver all packages to the appropriate internal recipients.
- Ensure the accurate sorting for known recipients and researching unknown or unrecognized addresses/locations.
- Physically distribute/pick up packages by cart, dolly, or hand truck to/from various departments throughout campus.
- Utilizes tracking system when receiving and items making package deliveries.
- Inspects deliveries for suspicious or threatening items; follows proper protocol when incident occur.
- Uses Outlook/Teams to communicate package details to recipients/internal stakeholders.
- Prepare outbound items for processing, shipment, and/or transportation.
- Keep accurate tracking logs of daily activities/volumes.
- Maintains quality customer service at all times by providing friendly and responsive support and service.
- Ensures the dock areas and operating spaces are tidy and safe.
- Cross-training and back up of other associates/service areas.
- Other tasks as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or equivalent required.
- 3-5 years shipping/receiving experience in high volume environment.
- 2-3 years MS Office experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adapt to change in a professional setting.
- Possesses strong work ethic and the ability to building strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to handle multiple deliverables at one time with the ability to prioritize.
- Strong attention to detail required.
- Role is physical and may require long periods of standing, walking, bending, reaching, stretching, climbing, or similar activities as well as lifting or moving items weighing up to 50lbs.
- Ability to identify and communicate process improvements.
